Artistic Statement
Light, texture, shapes, color, these are the things that inspire my work. Whether it is a brilliant morning or a gray, rainy day, this is what fuels the creation of my images.
All images are original work, captured and edited by myself. All color and content is fully controlled in my digital lab.
I feel that the work I present to the public or offer over my website is all original. The prints that you can see and feel are all from the original file or negative.
All prints are custom made. That is, a lab prints a file that I have hand profiled for that lab or print Myself on unique papers using an archival process. No more than three prints of any image are made at one time. This imparts uniqueness to each image created.
Creative Process
Digital images are capture with professional quality equipment and processed using up to date imaging software. Images are adjusted for density, hue, sharpness and saturation. Printing is accomplished either by a lab or on my Epson 1900 using archival supplies.
I mat and frame my own prints, cutting appropriate shaded mats for each image. Certain images receive a hand drawn ‘French’ line to highlight the colors.
Frames are hand chosen to coordinate with the image. Some frames are hand refinished to draw out the natural beauty of the wood.
All components are assembled in my frame shop.
